PixeLINK Industrial Cameras ideal for Machine Vision, Microscopy and OEMs

MACHINE VISION CAMERAS

PixeLINK’s machine vision cameras range from XGA to 6.6MP resolutions, in both monochrome and color formats. The PL-B700 series of CMOS cameras feature 8 & 10-bit output and the PL-B900 series of CCD cameras feature 8 & 12-bit output. General-purpose inputs and outputs for external triggering and strobe synchronization are provided via a 9-pin Micro-D connector. Straight or right-angled case designs allow users greater flexibility in mounting the cameras. User-friendly interface options include:

MICROSCOPY CAMERAS

Megapixel color and monochrome cameras suitable for bright field microscopy applications. The PL-B600 CMOS & PL-B800 CCD series of microscopy cameras offer resolutions from 1.3 to 6.6MP in both USB 2.0 or FireWire interfaces. PixeLINK Capture SE 2.2 is included with each camera kit. This application is a real-time, interactive application designed specifically for microscopy. User-friendly interface options include:

CAMERAS FOR OEM IMAGING MODULES

Designed for large volume OEM customers, the PixeLINK PL-B700-BL series of CMOS imaging modules and the PL-B900-BL series of CCD imaging modules provide an increased degree of mounting flexibility while maintaining the same feature set and image quality of the enclosed cameras. The processing and interface boards are connected to the sensor board via a 4″ ribbon cable (other lengths available upon request). User-friendly interface options include:

PixeLINK releases Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) Interface

Aegis Electronic Group, Inc. will be stocking PixeLINK’s new Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) interface as an option for all PL-B700 and PL-B900 series industrial cameras towards the end of January 2008. These megapixel monochrome and color industrial cameras are designed specifically for machine vision applications and are the newest addition to PixeLINK’s line of CCD and CMOS industrial digital cameras.

The increased bandwidth of GigE at 1000 Mbps will allow for large uncompressed images to be transferred in real time over standard Cat5E network cables up to 100 meters long delivering outstanding image quality, excellent sensitivity and high-speed shuttering for crisp images of fast moving objects. The distance can be increased with the use of network equipment.

For OEM customers, PixeLINK believes the integration of imaging products with software should be a quick and painless endeavor. That’s why our industry leading Software Developer’s Kit (SDK) uses a common API for all of our cameras regardless of the customer’s chosen interface. Software code developed for one camera model is easily transferred to other PixeLINK camera models saving time and money. This GigE interface can be used with software developed for the FireWire and USB cameras.

Key application areas include: Factory Automation, Large OEM equipment, Remote Monitoring and Multiple Camera applications.
